With over 20 years of experience, Jerry has held key positions as Principal Consultant and Head of Product Development, establishing a comprehensive background in both consulting and product development.

Leveraging his extensive industry expertise and exceptional skills in product development, Jerry has played a pivotal role in propelling Sophus products to the forefront of the industry, ensuring their success and market leadership. Under his guidance, advanced software solutions have been instrumental in successfully bringing innovative products to market, addressing the diverse needs of clients and solidifying Sophus's position in the industry.

Byron Song

Managing Director – Solutions

Byron is a seasoned supply chain consultant with an MSc and PhD in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Renowned for his expertise in network optimization, production planning, and inventory management, Byron has a strong proficiency in various supply chain modeling tools and holds SAP AG certification.

His ability to combine a deep understanding of business needs with the application of advanced technical expertise has brought significant value to many clients. As a principal consultant at LLamasoft/Coupa, Byron led numerous projects, earning the title of Star Performer in 2020.

His notable work includes a partnership with a major pharmaceutical company, developing key optimization solutions that streamlined planning for brands with multi-billion-dollar annual turnover.

Jonathan Nicholas

Managing Director – Customer Success

A highly experienced supply chain strategist, Jon has over 25 years of working with a wide range of organizations, predominantly covering retailers, manufacturers and FMCG companies. He worked for LLamasoft for four years, leading the European Professional Services and Customer Success teams.

Jon has worked on both a global and local basis, through both consultancy and corporate environments. Adept at understanding customer needs and commercial imperatives, Jon is experienced in the analysis, design and implementation of global end-to-end supply chains with particular expertise in translating complex analysis and research into actionable strategic and tactical plans. He is adaptable and agile to work with and influence C-Suite executives through to operational colleagues to both deliver and sustain step-change and continuous improvement activities.

Ruidian Song

Chief Scientist

Ruidian earned his Ph.D. in operations research. Specializing in large-scale optimization problems, he excels in addressing combinatorial optimization challenges, stochastic programming, and optimization algorithm design, particularly in urban logistics. Ruidian has published articles in top logistics and transportation journals, including Transportation Science and Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review.

Previously, he led the intelligent product line at SINOTRANS Innovative Technology Co., overseeing a team of nearly 20 members. His role included strategic planning and management, covering machine learning algorithms, optimization algorithms, automation, logistics resource digitization, simulation, blockchain, augmented/virtual reality, and autonomous driving technologies. At Sophus, Ruidian is focused on developing optimization algorithms and actively contributes to various supply chain optimization projects, spanning network planning, replenishment planning, transportation optimization, inventory optimization, and more.

Evrim Övünç

SVP Sales & Marketing Europe

Evrim has 25 years of experience in the Financial Services, Food & Beverage and Software industries in Turkey, Germany and the USA, where he held various leadership positions in Supply Chain Finance, Planning and Software Sales.

Evrim's focus areas are Supply Chain Strategy, Planning and Operations and related Consulting Projects, including software implementations used in Supply Chain Management functions. He has in-depth experience in the Food & Beverage, Consumer Goods, Retail and Wholesale industries.
